I find today that a lot of brides are not getting the emotional and practical support from their matron of honor. So, what exactly should yours be doing for you.

|1| Attend wedding dress shopping and fittings - You may ask their Maid of Honor to accompany her wedding dress shopping and to her dress fittings.

|2| Lead the bridal party - There's a lot that goes into being a bridesmaid, too. Your Maid of Honor should serve as the point person for any of your bridesmaid-related questions or concerns on all the wedding-related details.

|3| Be the bridesmaid dress and style guru - Your Maid of Honor not only assists you with choosing the bridesmaid dresses, but also she should make sure that all the ‘maids order their dresses and accessories in a timely fashion. 

|4| Other tasks related to leading the bridal party may include confirming hair and makeup appointments.

|5| Be a point person for guests - Wedding guests tend to have lots of questions. She can answer guests’ questions and provide essential information as needed.

|6| Host or co-host the bridal shower - One of the most important duties for your Maid of Honor is to host the bridal shower with help from the bridesmaids. From sending invitations to ordering food, and planning your bridal shower.

|7| Plan the bachelorette party - Your Maid of Honor should work with the rest of your bridesmaids to put together a bachelorette party that keeps your the personality in mind to create a memorable event.

|8| Attend pre-wedding events – Such as the engagement party, rehearsal, and rehearsal dinner, your Maid of Honor is usually in attendance at these events.
