Reducing Your Wedding Anxiety
It is understandable that all couples, especially brides feel stressed and anxious when planning their wedding. How could it not be when it is an entirely new experience for you and there is a lot of important parts that need to fit together in order for you to have the wedding for your dreams. That alone is a lofty goal and can bring a lot of stress to you.
I recommend the following five (5) tips to ease the serious and anxiety that comes with planning your wedding.
|1| Work with a Wedding Planner - Let them handle the planning or guide you down the aisle. After all, this is what they do everyday working with brides like yourself and you can rest assured knowing that everything will go smoothly on the big day. If you can not afford a wedding planner then consider hiring a day of coordinator that will work with your on your timeline for your big day from the ceremony to events occurring during the reception. I highly recommend that if your venue offers a planner or a day of coordinator that you chose them. You will want someone that knows your venue and what to expect.
|2| Speak to Your Fiancée - Talking to your partner about your anxiety will help him to be able to support you. In addition, they might be able to come up with an idea to a solutions, contacts, or answers to issues that you are overthinking or considered about.
|3| Don’t Feel Forced into Anything - Every one has an opinion of what your wedding day should be like. Remember, It is your wedding day, and you can celebrate it as you and your fiancée’ please. The only people that might have a say in the wedding are those people that are contributing financially. Make sure that prior to accepting any money for a friend Orr family member that you understand how much they want to be involved with the planning process.
|4| Use an Experienced Caterer - Choosing the food you will serve and drinks you will provide at your wedding is two important areas that can be difficult to plan. To alleviate anxiety and ensure that everyone can enjoy delicious food and drink (and plenty of it), your best option is simply to use a caterer recommended by a friend, family member, or your venue.
|5| Lastly, Don’t Let Your Wedding Overtake Your Life - It is very easy to feel like the only thing happening in your life is your wedding and you start obsessing over details big and small. In order to prevent that from happening make sure that you are still taking time for things like date nights or spending time with friends as a couple.
I hope that these simple tips help you you are feeling anxious about your wedding day. Just remember, it is going to be the best day of your life.Hands down!
